Feng Shui Design is Inspired by the art of placement combined with functional design. When one experiences an environment that emits a feel that is welcoming and draws you into the space without any one element taking priority other than the overall experience, then you are experiencing Feng Shui Design. A good design should allow flow in and thru it in an un obstructed gentle and inviting way.

Here are some examples of transformation and transition of spaces

P. YAKURA~ FENG SHUI HOUSE DESIGN 2010

A collaboration of Mr Yakura’s vision, Charlyne’s feng shui design & Rob Matthes’ architectural creation to actualize them.

DESIGN BY M. CHARLYNE CHIASSON of ADARSA: Elemental Design & ROB MATTHES of MATTHES ARCHITECTURE

Hired by Mr Yakura to design a ‘Feng Shui House ‘ for a Rossland property, I worked extensively with him to create a design. This design was then submitted to Rob Mattas of MATTHAS ARCHITECTURE and the process of creating a viable shell, around a design concept started. This process was an intense and valuable learning experience which as led me to writing ‘ The ABC’s of FENG SHUI ~ for Architects, Developers, Builders, Designers & Decorators ‘ which is presently being edited and illustrated for publishing in 2012.

The finished drawings below show the results of this collaboration of Mr Yakura’s vision, my Design and Rob’s Architecture to create a beautiful ‘Feng Shui Home’ ~

The sketches below the finished product  are to show you a part of the Feng Shui Design process.  I sited the home based on many factors starting with the Feng Shui Landscape which includes many of the architectural check points used universally for home siting~ including access, view, sun orientation, cost of construction etc.

Many Feng Shui Designs are logical, fundamental and basic when it comes to placement. The scanned ‘somewhat lopsided’ and hand drawn  sketches are to illustrate part of the ongoing process of ‘refinement’ ~ and both the small and broad ‘feng shui factors’ that can shift a good design into a flowing, harmonious and ultimately ‘fantastic’ space.
